Is there a way to open the 'editor' at the place i need to make the edit?

Instead of the 'editor' opening at the top of the page; Is there a way to open the 'editor' at the place i need to make the edit?

It's a pain to have to scroll down down down into a large page to find (again) the section that i need to make edits to.

Thanks.

@teggenberger this feature was implemented in 2022, and you should be able easily begin editing a page where you were viewing it by hitting the (e) key on your keyboard.

The introductory article is available here:

However, some users do complain in the comments (most recent) that this is not currently working exactly as expected.

It doesn't look like this is a feature that Atlassian plans on implementing (ref: CONFCLOUD-7645). You didn't mention the hosting type, but on Confluence Cloud, if you add an inline comment in regular mode, you can also see it in edit mode. If you do that, you'll at least be able to see the highlighted portion when you go to edit the page, which may be your best option out of the box.
