Is there a way to grant read only access to Confluence Cloud for anonymous users?

triemer October 3, 2019

I am looking for a way to use cloud confluence to document product features that can be shared externally.  In many cases those needing to view the info won't be confluence users (i.e. no user or password) and we don't need them to be setup as one.  Is there a way to do this with the cloud version?

Hi,

Yes, if your Confluence site admins have set up Global permissions to allow for Anonymous Access then individual Space admins have the option to configure their spaces to grant permissions to users who are not logged in (essentially making the space public).

Here's the Atlassian documentation that describes setting up Public Access

I hope this helps!

Thank you Sharon.  This seems to help.  The documentation did not support doing this in the Cloud, but we made the changes and are testing to confirm.
