Is there a way to get table of contents across multiple columns?

I have a large set of data which requires anywhere from 50-200 items to be in a table of contents on one page. 

I have explored many ways of trying to get this to present nicely but I cannot find one that works for the business.

Is there a way to get a table of contents to split across multiple columns?
