Is there a way to embed a Jira Table into a Confluence Table?

Christopher Shorb March 15, 2022

Adding a Jira Query into Confluence as a table is great. But I'd like to be able to do thinks like:

  1. Re-order the lines because sometimes I need to order items by sequence of work - and this can be different project by project epic by epic.
  2. Add a note on the line items. Things like "Check with Bob on X dependency" that wouldn't normally be found in a JIRA without adding a new field in JIRA, which I don't want to do - also I'd have to leave Confluence to go update in JIRA, which feels clunky.

So ideally, I'd love to have the Jira Table with all the info I want like Summary, Status, Key, Assignee, etc - and be able to then add more Confluence only columns after it.

Wonder if that's possible today?

Hi @Christopher Shorb ,

We can suggest trying our app - Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.

Its Table Transformer macro may help you to look up the automatically generated table coming from the Jira Issues macro and a plain manually created Confluence table into one report.

Please check the second part of this Community thread for more details.
