Is there a way to authenticate JIRA server users to Confluence Cloud?

We have JIRA server on-perm with LDAP integration. Is there a way to use application links (or something) to allow the same JIRA users to be authenticated on Confluence Cloud?

I'm afraid Cloud does not (yet) allow for external authentication, only internal and google accounts.
