Is there a way for the CQL Query plugin to show dates in the system default date format?

The CQL Search plugin is great, but the date format will only show in the Atlassian new-in-box default.  If you update the detail to another format, like the ISO date format `YYYY-MM-DD` then this will not be reflected in the query results.

How can I set that date format?

There does not appear to be a way to change this. I thought you might be able to change it if you changed your Date Time Format in Confluence Admin -> General Configuration, but even that didn't change it, so I don't see any way to make that change.
