Is there a macro (or another way) to set the layout of a(n imported) parent and all children pages?

I have imported a word document of a couple of hundred pages, and would like to modify the standard page layout to a two-column (narrower right column) format. As it would be quite a lot of work to do this manually, I was wondering whether there is any 'quick' way/some sort of macro that could be used thereto?
