Is there a limit to the size of a file that can be added?

To configure the maximum size allowed for an attachment:

  1. Choose the cog icon at top right of the screen, then choose Confluence Admin.

  2. Choose General Configuration in the left-hand panel.
  3. Choose Edit.
  4. Enter the maximum size next to Attachment Maximum Size'.

    The default is 10mb.
  5. Choose Save.

Yes, there's a limit defined in the attachments section under admin. You can raise that very high, but bear in mind that uploading and reading them is network intensive and slow, and Confluence is not a document management system, so it's not well suited to handling very large files.
