Hi Friends. I am a writer, currently using my trello board to storyboard a project. I've got categories galore, and each card has a decent amount of writing under descriptions and comments.

I am wondering if there is a way to export or copy (without having to manually copy and paste) all the different cards/descriptions under the various lists.

Sometimes I am not able to access my trello board, and it would be nice to have a google doc, or even an email with all of the research, brainstorms, character development, scenes, and story arcs - etc.

If need be I can do a manual copy-paste, but I thought I'd check to see if there's some simple command or option to do that, before I devote the time required.

Thank you!

@Vicki Syal

Hi Vicky,

By default, Trello can be exported into JSON, but that is not a very user-friendly format for most people.

However there is a way to export Trello board data into a spreadsheet. If you install the Booklet by Vince Power-Up, you can export boards and selected lists into an Excel file (or Markdown).

That's the only possibility I know of and already a huge progress compared with the status quo of JSON.

No, there's no export directly, but if you got the power-up that links it to Jira, you could use that to synchronise (duplicate) your data.
