Is a mass export of specific pages possible, and how could it be done?

Hello guys,

I want to copy a bunch of pages from one confluence instance to another.

Now I have figured out, that one single page can be moved via word export and word import.

In my specific case it is not so much of a use to do that page by page.

Is there any way to mass export these pages and mass import them into the new instance?

Hi @Toni,

If you have the correct permissions set for the Space in question you should be able to perform an custom export, preferably in XML or HTML.  Check out the export documentation if you have not already.

thanks for your quick response. I did check the space conf but had not the right permissions. Now another "issue" has appeared.

As soon as the export is done a download link is given to me, and when I click on it the download appears in my browser's download list, but nothing happens. The file has the name "binary" and it says "preparing download" for 7 minutes now.

Hi @Toni,

It is not uncommon for a large export to take hours to download. My suggestion would be to test the process with a few pages first.
