Hi there,
My company has a robust Confluence environment, hosted on our own server, with a lot of FAQs, how-tos and random information from various departments.
I'm setting up a Wordpress site on our network for a related project, and would love it if I was able to embed a search function on the Wordpress site that returned results from our Confluence database(s).
Is this possible? Any plugins available, or are they simply two environments that don't work together?
Thanks.
Yes it is possible via the Confluence API, but you are going to have to write your own code wrapper to make this happen along with a dedicated user account within Confluence.

Hi Bill, thanks. A bit over my head but maybe a coworker can help.

Yeah, I have team that I get to do this kind of code work. ;-)

Hi Greg,
The add-ons we have available are mostly for publishing purposes. However, since you're asking for a feature on Wordpress' side, you would need to look on their site for information regarding that add-on. I'm not aware of any personally.
I had a look myself, but it doesn't appear that any are available:
It's still possible there may be some workaround, so please watch this space in case some of your fellow Wordpress/Confluence users have some suggestions!
Regards,
Shannon
