Integrate JIRA reports into Confluence - any concerns about information security?

Hello, 

I am a Jira/Confluence beginner so any help would be appreciated. I am investigating using Jira reports and displaying in Confluence to help with how we manage project workloads.

I have found the following guide with instructions on how to do this:

Are there any concerns in terms of information security as the guide says you have to publish the report to get a URL link?

Hi Sarah!

I have a bit more experience with server products, but typically content from Jira gadgets is still permission-protected by the Jira permissions. If a Confluence user doesn't have permission to see a report in Jira, they also shouldn't be able to see that information through a chart connected through a Jira gadget.

That said, you can run a test report/gadget in Jira to pull into Confluence and verify that users who don't have permission in Jira also cannot view it in Confluence.

Hi Zak, 

So essentially the URL link to the report, will not work unless you have permission to Jira project. I will deploy some tests and go from there.
