We are currently performing a migration assessment from Confluence Data Center to Confluence Cloud using the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA). Our potential migration window is from January to April 2026.
We understand that the legacy editor is being deprecated, as mentioned in this article: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/faq-understanding-legacy-editor-deprecation/
We have two questions regarding this:
Will the deprecation of the legacy editor affect our planned migration, given our timeline?
Is our understanding correct that if we use CCMA to migrate in January 2026 or later, legacy editor pages will not be created? Instead, the content will be migrated as cloud editor pages with the use of the legacy content macro.
My current understanding is yes to both of your questions. I suspect it may change as more migrations hit the fact the legacy editor is deprecated.
