Indentation not carried over when pasting to code block

Matt Uebel

When I select code that is indented and spaced as I want, then copy and paste it into a confluence code block, the text ends up with all the indentation and extra lines removed.

This makes the code more difficult to read. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?

Hey Matt,

From your description it seems that only the empty lines are deleted, right? Sounds like you're running into this bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-28582

There's a comment on this bug that seems to be a workaround worth it a shot:

Use the workaround, set linenumbers=true. You'll have to change all the macros for that, but once this issue is fixed, you won't necessarily have to change 'm back. You'll be able to paste without losing the linebreaks.

Can you please try it to see whether it helps? Also make sure to test it using other browsers.

I hope it helps!

Eduardo
