Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This is because of the way "include" works.  The include function does not copy the included page, it renders it as though it was part of the current page.

Imagine the content is all code.  A page would not be

  1. Run code for section 1 of this page in this context
  2. Run code for an included page in that page's context
  3. Run code for section 3 of this page in this context

It actually does this:

  1. Run code for section 1 of this page in this context
  2. Run code for section 2 of this page in this context (code taken from another page)
  3. Run code for section 3 of this page in this context

So, my guess is that your two charts are configured to run against something else on your included page.  For example a "chart from excel called thing.xls attached to this page" will fail when included because the page including it doesn't have thing.xls attached to it.

The best thing to do is see if you can edit the parameters of the macros on the included page - can they be changed to use a fixed source of data?  Rather than "attached to this page", use "attached to a page called X (which happens to be the included page)"

You can't configure the source.

It should be, but can you show us the config of one of the chart macros?

Hi Nic,

thanks for your reply.

It actually renders from a table on the page.

For me that's fixed source data, isn't it?
