I've had a Google Doc embedded into a page for abut a year using the 'publish to the web' technique and it has worked great. Today, I made some changes to the Google Doc and checked to see if those changes were updated automatically on my page. The page did not show the doc. I tried relinking it with no success.

Any suggestions?

Hi David,

I did some testing, and I saw similar behavior. I noticed The Widget Connector documentation actually recommends using the free Google Drive macro for linking Google documents.

I tried this out, and was able to successfully show a Google doc on a Confluence page in the Google Drive macro. Note that the Google drive macro accepts the actual URL of the document (from the browser bar when you're viewing the doc), and not the "Publish to web" URL.

I hope this helps!

Hi David!

I'm not familiar with any native methods to show Google Docs in Confluence. Could you please let us know what macro or other technique you are using to link the Confluence page to a Google Doc?

Thanks!
Zak

I'm using the Widget Connector:

It works correctly with two Google Sheets I have connected and used to work fine with the now-problematic Google Doc.
