Imported word doc - tables import narrow instead of full width

I import a word document that has tables in it.

This imports the tables but they don't preserve their width - the tables import narrow.

How can i preserve table import width - or run some type of automation to go through and fix this up?

Hi @Bruce Bradford welcome to the community.  It would be my opinion that importing a Word Doc should get the imported page very close to WYSIWYG so that Word & Confluence should be close to matching.  

I took a quick look at Atlassian's Jira Site and didn't see anything specific to the issue you brought up here.

If you can reproduce this pretty consistently, I would suggest opening a ticket with Atlassian Support and have them weigh in.  It would be beneficial if you could include some screenshots and possibly an example word file that they can import.
