Hello,

Some users have deleted attachements from a page and purged the trash bin and i wanted to restore them.

We did not use the confluence backup option as we backup our servers regularly.

I managed to restore the correct repository from a server backup where the attachements were stored according to https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/hierarchical-file-system-attachment-storage-704578486.html .

I have tried to copy paste the deleted files that i have retrived from my backup to the corresponding folder but i can not see them on the attachment list of the page once done.

Am i missing something ?

Best regards,

Yacine LANDOLSI.

Welcome to the community!

You need to tell the pages that they have attachments.

Attachments are not just files, Confluence needs metadata like the filename, author, upload date, etc, so that it can version and report on them.

You will need to work out what each file was, and re-attach it via the UI.
