Our Space will have pages that are visible to all users and pages that are restricted to members of a specific group.
What I want to do is automatically post a "Warning" at the top of every page that is set to "Restricted". The warning will simply tell viewers that this is a restricted page and should not be shared.
If the page is subsequently set to "Unrestricted", the Warning should not display.
Here is a suggestion which utilizes the out of the box solution.
Create a new template called restricted pages which includes the warning box in your desired location.
Have users click the ... by create at the top of the page, and choose the restricted pages template.
You could always utilize buttons as well for creating restricted and unrestricted pages.
On the parent page or home page, add 2 {include from template} buttons.

Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for your response.
This is actually what we are currently doing, but it is open to human error (selecting the wrong template or forgetting to use it and creating a blank page).
I was hoping for some automated way (either add-on or some other customisation) that removes the possibility of human error. I.e. Whenever a page is set to restricted it is done automatically.
This way, it is not relying on users to select the correct template.
Equally if we then decide that the page in question is no longer restricted, simply removing the restriction will remove the warning message as well.
Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,
I don't know of an add-on which will update the page if permissions are changed, however I would suggest having an approver review the content before it gets published.
Check out Comala workflows for an approval workflow setup. There is also a Comala publishing tool you can check out as well.
If you are still looking for an automated action when pages are restricted, I would suggest moving this suggestion to the marketplace. In the marketplace, other vendors can see your question and possibly build out a solution.
