How do i change the icon in the browser?

That icon is called the favicon.

You can change it in Jira's System settings --> Look and Feel

Is there a maximum size of px? Only the minimum is requested...

I don't know about a maxmimum size.

Try clearing the cache of your browser. It's probably retaining the original logo.
