i tried to change the home directory but i couldnt,how would i do that?

i followed the link

confluence/WEB-INF/classes/confluence-init.properties 
This file contains the location of the Confluence Home directory.

and changed it to

confluence.home=‎⁨/Macintosh HD⁩/Users⁩/My user name/Desktop⁩/confluence/

Are there warnings or errors in the Log file related to the home.directory (Catalina.out)
