I have view/edit rights to a page, however I cannot see the "Edit" button.

I have view/edit rights on several different pages, and on some of the pages I cannot see the "Edit" button to actually edit the page.

  You noted that you can see edit on some of the pages so your space permissions are probably OK. 

Go to the pages where you can't see the edit button, then go to those parent pages to see if those have view only restrictions. That might give us a hint at what is going on.
