I have edit and view privilege on a restricted space but I cannot edit content on the site

edit and view privileg on sapce but I cannot edit pages and I can only create a blog - do you know what i can do to increase privileges so I can use the site?

Hi Linda,

do you have access to the space permissions or what makes you so sure about the permissions you got already? From what you are telling I assume you don't have the Add Pages permission (which implies editing as well). Are you a space administrator or do you know the space administrator of that space or a system administrator of your Confluence instance?

I just looked at it with the space admin and I can see on the restrictions button that my user id has edit and view privilege (just added after creating the space), so that might be the issue. I don't know how to see what privilege i have on the confluence - i have my home and I can add pages and other object types there.

Hi Linda,

just so I don't confuse things here. On that page you can see the page restrictions and view and edit restrictions list you as user - "XYZ can view and edit"? But what I was talking about are space permissions, so one level above page restrictions. You have your personal space where all of that works, correct? There you can have a look at the space permissions. Just head over to the Space Tools. But each space has its own settings applied to it - there you have to check what's possible for your user / user group.
