There is a help article that says another user should open the original page and rename it. I did that, but when the edited page was saved ,it has the new, edited name. How can I get back to the old name?

Hi @poconnor3

Confluence is a wiki, and most wiki systems go for unique page names.  Confluence is a little weak on that and goes for "unique page names within a defined space", but it still applies.  You cannot have pages with the same name (if it's Confluence, then "in the same space" gets added to the rule)

You will need to look at the two pages you have and compare their names very carefully.  "Same name" messages only happen when they are in the same space and 100% identical.
