I have a form that I created in a space. Some users cant view pdfs that were submitted in the form?

I have checked the space permissions and page permissions and gave them all max permissions and they can not view the pdfs still.

Do you have your ConfiForms form (definition) configured to use the "secure storage" for the uploaded files?

Yes I Have the Enable secure storage for attachments (files)

Files will be stored in sub-pages with restricted access. Make sure you explicitly define additional users as form administrators" box checked.
Should I uncheck it?

But in this case the files that are attached could be accessed only by users who have access to them.
Basically, exactly what you experience

So in order for a user to access these files they have to be listed as a form admin?

Either as form admins/super users or just dont use the secure storage option

Hey @Derek anthony martinez ,

Any chance you can share some additional details here?

A couple of questions:

  1. Are PDFs added directly to Confluence pages, or are they embedded on a page but the source is elsewhere (e.g., SharePoint/OneDrive)?
  2. This form you've mentioned - is this a form in Jira, Marketplace application or some custom solution?
  3. I've also just remembered - are we here talking about DC or cloud?

If you can share some examples of the actual form and the page design, that would be helpful. 👀

Cheers,
Tobi

Hey @Tomislav Tobijas ,

This form is through confluence  I created a form using the confiforms definitions.  When someone submits the form they usually attach a pdf and/or a zip file.  When they submit the form the PDF goes into a subpage.  Then a link is listed to the pdf or the file.

Thanks, Derek Martinez

Ah, okay @Derek anthony martinez - thanks for clarifying!

You'll probably be able to troubleshoot this with @Alex Medved _ConfiForms_, as he probably got the most experience with ConfiForms out of all of us :)

Hi,

If some users cannot view the form, it is usually due to permissions.

Check the following:

• Make sure users have access to the Confluence space
• Verify page restrictions are not limiting access
• Ensure the form app (if third-party) allows those users/groups
• Confirm users are logged in with the correct account
• Try opening in an incognito window to rule out cache issues

If the problem continues, share which form app you are using and any error messages.

Hello,   after trying to open a file or PDF they get taken to a page that says " Page not found"   as well as

-the page doesnt exist

-the page exists but you don't have view permissions for that space
