I have an area called Archive. The landing page itself is locked as are all the "child" pages underneath. They continue to show up in searches. How do I prevent that?
Hi @Janet Shuey
As long as these pages aren't archived using the actual archive function of Confluence, they will still show up in searches for everyone who has access to them, which you can't turn off.
But per your answer above only you and another person have access to these pages, so they won't appear for anyone else in searches.
See what @Koloman Pfeffer repiled.
Plus, I can suggest that you use a separate space for archiving purposes. If you limit the visibility of that spaces, then the archived pages will be found only by the users who have access to the space. And, it is easier to exclude a complete space from searches than a page tree.

Unless you either use the archive or delete of the pages that you want to hide they will continue to show up in searches as long as the user have access to the pages.
How have you "locked" the pages?

I used the lock icon at the top of the page and chose Viewing and editing restricted. I put myself and one other as people who can view/edit.
