I'm trying to link a certain word/phrase on page 'A' to link and jump to a certain phrase/section on page 'B'. Is this functionality possible?

Hello, 

As Bill already posted, you could use anchors. However you should note that anchors don't update if the page name changes.

If you don't like anchors, could also use headings for example:

1. Page 'B' has a heading named  'Planning'. 
2. Now you can link this to a word in page 'A' by highlighting it and pressing ctrl+k, or 'insert -> link'
3. In 'Insert Link' dialog switch to "Web Link" tab and add the page 'B' address like this: https://confluence/display/SPACEKEY/B#B-Planning
4. The end result is when you click the word on page 'A' it will redirect you to page 'B' and under the heading you've specified.

Using headings you should note that if you rename the page or the heading, you will have to edit the links in page 'A'.

thank you. I tried doing anchors. My page links over, but it isn't jumping to where I dropped the anchor. I typed in the name of my page and then #anchorname. Anything that I'm missing?

Hi Kelly - you should be able to use the anchor macro for that, though I've always pointed to a header, not sure what limitations if any it has to an exact word (I can't connect right now to try but can tomorrow).
