Hello,

We are working on a custom plugin for Confluence which allows users to send page updates as a CC mail. In order to achieve it, we wanted to know how we could reuse the default method/event used to trigger page update emails to watchers (the emails which says 'x edits made on the page', also including the diff indicating what changed).

We explored Atlassian Confluence API but weren't able to figure out the exact method/event. We are aware that we could use MailQueueItem in order to push custom mails, but we would like to reuse the existing method which sends out 'page update' emails.

Could you please help us identify the underlying method/event which can be reused or suggest us any alternatives in order to achieve the above use case.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Nithin,

I am afraid that plugin development questions are beyond my expertise. Hopefully someone else in the Community can help.

There are a lot of experienced developers for Atlassian add-ons/apps over on our developer community that would know more of the details of which methods are used to send page updates.

Thanks,

Ann

Thanks Ann for the quick response. I will put up this question in the developer community as you suggested.
