We have material in confluence with text tagged with "@@", "@@@" etc. Confluence Cloud searches do not find any of these references. How do we overcome this?
Hello Geoff and welcome to the Community!
I tested this and created a page with content using @@ and @@@. Once the page was created we tested searching of said content. What we founds is we’re able to find the content with @@ as long as text follows. Simply searching @@ or @@@ was not a long enough string for the search to complete.
With this said, there is a feature request to add this functionality to the product. You can find that feature request at CONFCLOUD-3036. We would suggest you vote and watch this request to receive updates on its status in the future.
Along with this, you may find additional resources for Confluence searching below;
Using labels within Confluence, you will find that you’re unable to set the following characters as labels within a page:
contains invalid characters ( , !, #, &, (, ), *, , , ., :, ;, <, >, ?, @, [, ], ^).
You can find more about page labels at: Use Labels to Organize your Content
A workaround for this would to not use the @ character to use another character that is escapable within the search. (Escaping special characters: \ or \\)
