Our confluence data center is enabled for the public. But we need to restrict it within the company and without disabling external access. Is there a possible way to restrict anonymously.
"But we need to restrict it within the company..."
What exactly do you mean by that? Are you saying that no one on you companies network should be able to get to it?
Hi Davin,
Please have a look at my scenarios.
Scenario1: Open for the public ( will enable global permissions for anonymous)
Scenario2: Open for the entire company without a license. But the public has limited access (?)
Scenario3: Only for restricted users. ( Global permissions disable and only provide access for required users)
Thanks in advance!
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You can place different permissions based on space. So, if you have some parts that everyone should have access to you can give that space anonymous access. Fo content that you don't want to be public you would put that in its own space, disable anonymous access, and apply appropriate viewing/editing permissions.

Also, as much as possible avoid giving permissions to people. Instead give permissions to groups and then add people to the groups. You will save yourself so many troubles doing it this way.

You can restrict view for group or groups you use for licensed users.
Here is documentation how to get licensed users: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/managing-your-confluence-license-313467774.html
