I'm trying to restrict a user or a group to only the pages of a specific space. I need to make sure that that user isn't able to somehow navigate to other spaces. Currently, i created a user, added them to a group and associated that group to the space I want to restrict them to. But when I log in to Confluence using that user's creds, i get dropped in the #all-updates page. So I can see updates being made across all spaces. Even worse, I can click on any of those pages and it'll take me there even if it's in a totally different space. Can't have that happen.
What am I missing?
Thank you!
Hi @Sanjay Zalavadia ,
Do these users have access to other spaces besides the specific space?
I think you can try to check the following configurations:
1. Global permissions
2. Space permissions
3. Page restrictions
Hope it helps.
Thanks Ollie. I haven't added the user nor the group to any other space under space permissions so I'm assuming that they shouldn't have access to any other space. But like i mentioned in my original note, since they're landed on the #all-updates page, they can navigate to another space from the links on that #all-updates page. I looked at page restrictions but that only talks about restricting access to pages under a space. It doesn't say anything about restricting from pages that are global like the #all-updates page.

What are the permissions on the space that they can see that they should not?
You need to remove whatever it is that is letting them into that!
