Hello there
I have difficulties to add SVG files into my Confluence document.
1. When I add a SVG file over "Add image/file" the import keeps showing the import wheel:
2. Nevertheless the "Insert" button gets activated. So I press it.
3. The SVG image is now inserted into my document but way too big:
4. When I change the size of the image either by entering a specific size or by one of the three default size buttons, then the SVG file in the document shows a broken link:
5. When I set it back to its original size the SVG appears correct again.
Is this a bug or have I done something wrong?
Regards
Hello there!
You are right, there is a bug report tackling this behaviour. We can check it here:
CONFSERVER-40672 | Confluence File Preview does not allow setting custom size for SVG format
The trick here is that you can resize the image down to 301px. Any lower than that and the image will break.
A good approach would be to vote and watch this report. Voting increases the report visibility and watching will keep you up to date!
Thanks for being open and taking part on this!

I've run into a similar problem, but sizing is reversed. I'm trying to take a 16 x 16 SVG and scale it up. It is broken for anything below 301 px (and the original). Noticed though that if I host the SVG offsite (Jira server or SharePoint) it works just fine at any size. If I try from a file attached to the Confluence page or workspace it breaks.
