How to not have spaces between lines in code block?

I'd argue that there ARE spaces between the lines in most text editors. Maybe there's a marketplace code block app with more customization options.

Let's turn this around. What's your use case? A table with code sample?

This side of specialized editors/characters (that give an appearance of a single vertical line) I've never came across an uninterrupted vertical line.

And I've been thru many (including those on mainframes in zOS :) )
