Is there a way to add a moderation functionality on comments to blog entries? The objective is to only "release" the comments made on a blog topic after they are reviewed by someone. Thanks.
Hi Gilberto,
This is not possible in Confluence, and is not a feature we intend to implement in the near future:
There is an add-on mentioned there as a workaround, but it appears the project has been archived and is no longer available.
I attempted to find an alternative for you, and found TechTime Report Abuse. I'm not familiar with it and cannot confirm if it can do what you require, but it might be worth looking into.
Regards,
Shannon
Thank you Shannon for your speedy answer.
I also found the Comments Approval Workflow and it does what we need, but is indeed archived.
The TechTime Report Abuse does not work for us, as we want to prevent the publication of the comment in the first place. The commend should be reviewed and only after that made public.
I find it a pitty that Atlassian is not considering this feature, as I see quite some interest by the community in having it.
Maybe we will end up creating our own plugin...
Regards,
Gilberto

Gilberto,
Thank you for confirming that you were able to already review that add-on.
In the event you do create your own add-on please feel free to share it here for those other users interested in such a feature!

Shannon
