How to get rid of the Left and Right margins so I can see all of my content

cmecham@micron.com June 23, 2025

With the New editor (Which I have to say it so much worse than what Confluence had before. Please add a feature to revert to the old editor)...

Even in the "Full Width" option, I have wise left and right margins on my pages which compress my tables to the center of the screen. How can I remove these margins and use the full width of the available space?  All of my tables have been distorted to the point they are difficult to use. (and for no benefit).

an you please help me find a way to remedy this as I've been unable to figure it out thus far.

-Thank you!

I have the same problem. This has nothing to do with the side menu. Instead, there seems to be som sort of "max width" of the content, that isn't, lets say "compatible" with today's ultrawide-screen monitors.

My best guess is that "someone" took a decision to limit the maximum with in order to prevent users with ultrawide-monitors creating content that are too wide for "normal"-width monitors...

Also, see my screenshot. I just spent 30 secs with it but found a CSS that says "maxwidth 1800px", disabling that one and the "margin" one below, I at least managed for it to fill out to the left. Then you probably need to find out what is causing the table to not expand beyond 1800px width to fill up to the right.

But in my opinion, something seems to be limiting the content to 1800px. This needs to be fixed. At least give us the _option_ to have wider content.

Hi cmecham@micron.com

As @Kristian Klima mentions, this is an option, but Confluence scales content in relation to your screen size.

I think there's a hard limit, though...

This is full width the widest possible columns size on a 3440x1440 px screen. And I don't think it's wider on a 5120x1440 screen.

Yes, this is what I see. Huge empty margins on both sides of my content. The compression makes it very difficult to use large tables.  For now my solution is to revert to an old version and hope no-one updates back to the new editor. I hope there can be a fix for this.

Hello cmecham@micron.com and welcome to the Community

You can also hide the left hand side menu (with the tree) to make the page really wide.

There's a toggle in the top left corner.

That is great, but for me it doesn't move the content to the left. It still leaves a large empty margin on both sides and compresses everything in the middle.
