How to get off the Improvement plan

Jozua Haumann

Hi,

I've been selected for the latest round of product improvement testing.  The page layout button is no longer available which is completely ruining the way I use Confluence.

Does anyone know how I can get off the "trial" or can anyone recommend another tool?

Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid that your choice of Cloud means you signed up for getting new features automatically.  There is no "trial" or "improvement plan" - the changes are part of the service, and you can only opt-out of the features Atlassian choose to give a "turn off" flag to.

Hi Nic,

Thanks for that.   I should have mentioned I work with Clould products everyday and kinda already knew that.

Please refer to - https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/new-navigation-and-a-new-look-for-confluence-881536766.html.  Some users have been selected for a new "experience".

The new look comes with loads of white space and supposedly time saving features.  For me however, I can't seem to find any of the newly promised benefits.  Also, when using a 30" monitor I don't need anymore white space.  They must be targeting phone and tablet users!?

I've used Confluence since 2008 and always liked how simple yet powerful it was.  It will be interesting to see adoption of the new look in the corporate sector...

Roll-outs of new features are not targetted at a group like that.  It's the opposite, the aim is to cover a sample of all users so that they get it tested by everyone who might use it all differently.  If there are no howling great bugs reported by any type of user, the feature is then rolled out across all Cloud systems, usually within 4-6 weeks.
