Just starting to try and use Confluence/Wiki for visibility into our Jira defects.

But the out of the box macros seem very rigid, how do you customize them?

Example -- the Jira chart macro "created vs resolved" gets 90% of the way there, but I want to make it compare to an additional status besides resolved, how would we do that?

Or average age chart macro -- good, but doesn't list the actual numbers of ages, or give the ability to do multiple dimensions (age of a and age of b).  Even the board gadget in Jira lists the actual age numbers in table form on maximization.

To summarize, how do I modify these simplistic macros to make them exactly what I want?  Or even how can i use jira gadgets in a more customized manner?

The options for customisation are in front of you when you add or re-configure a macro.

To go further, you'd need to modify the code of the macros.
