How to avoid that a task is validated by someone else?

Anthony ALVEROLA February 28, 2019

Hi, I'm working on confluence and I need to create tasks that only one person is able to complete. I need to avoid that a task assigned to Mr A can be validated by Mr B. How can I do that in confluence?

Hi,

This are my suggestions:

  • Make Mr. B the only person who can view and write the page
  • Restrict the page, so that Mr. B has write permission, all other just view permission
  • Let it be as it is and check your mails. You will be notified when and who checked the task

Hi and thanks for your quick reply... appreciated

Let me explain my need in more details:

In that page i will need to implement up to 11 tasks to 11 different persons.

The need is that each one can only validate its task and not the one of the others.

Hope it is clearer.

Thanks once again for your support.

Hi @Anthony ALVEROLA

The need you have can not be represented in confluence out of the box.

To tick a task (Mark it as Done), you need write permissions. So everybody of those 11 persons need write permission and so, they can check and uncheck every task.

Then, the only option I see is my last option, which is:

Let it be as it is and check your mails. You will be notified when and who checked the task
