How to assign parent permissions applicable to child also.

Hi Friends,

I am beginner to Confluence, i have a requirement to create a Confluence document with multiple parent and child pages.

I want to restrict the parent/child pages based on the specific groups to edit.

I saw there is a option to restrict page-by-page but i have 500+ page with multiple parent and directories, i want to implement parent permissions reflected to child pages also.

Please advise.

Hi @venkat ! As you already know, you'd need to do this page by page without an add-on but if you have ScriptRunner for Confluence there are a couple ways you do this quickly. If you need to restrict editing to multiple pages at once you could use the built-in script called "Add/Remove Restrictions to Parent & Child Pages" or the built-in script called "Inherit Restrictions for Pages" as you build out content. Hope this helps!
