I use the new editor. Every time I edit a page in Confluence, when I click 'Publish' I get a message that flashes up quickly that says 'Hold on. We're still saving your changes.' Even if I haven't made changes for several minutes and have simply been reviewing what I have done before clicking Publish.
Sometimes, my changes are not there after I click Publish. Other times they are.
It is most confusing.
How often does the auto-save save? Or am I doing something wrong?
The default is every 30 seconds, bu you can always change it by going to General Configuration > Further Configuration. See Configuring the Time Interval at which Drafts are Saved for more information.
Thanks Mikael - but that's not really what I'm asking about. I have left the default at 30 seconds. And yet even if I have not made a change for over 30 seconds while in edit mode, when I 'Publish' I get that message that it's still not saved. And sometimes my changes actually are saved and sometimes they are not.
Makes no sense.

Do you know if the page you are editing originally was created with the old editor? I have seen that happen with converted pages, and in one case on our instance there was a html tag in the back end that was causing the issue when trying to save. If you contact Atlassian support they should be able to investigate what is going on.

One more thing, have you tried and see if the same thing happens in an incognito window? Sometimes browser extensions can interfere with Confluence's micro services.

Interesting - I created the page (pages) in question with the new editor - so I don't think it's a conversion issue.
I'll have a look at what happens incognito - thanks!
