How do you disable the automatic index for blueprint templates in Confluence Cloud?

When a member of my team uses one of the Confluence blueprint templates, it automatically populates an index page for that blueprint.

For example, if someone uses the "How-to articles" template, it automatically creates a page on the sidebar in the space with a page index list of all the pages that have used this template.

We would rather not see this index page - is there a way to disable the blueprint template from automatically doing this?

My company currently uses Confluence Cloud.

Hello Christina,

Good morning! Thank you for reaching out.

It's not possible to disable this in Cloud, but we do have a feature request for it below:

  • CONFCLOUD-34205 Make it optional for page blueprints to create the index page

Please vote on the request and watch in order to be updated of any changes!

There's a workaround mentioned on the request, but be advised since you're on Cloud it's not possible to make these kind of modifications since you don't have direct access to the server files.

Regards,

Shannon
