Hello Dan and welcome to the Community!

If you’re wanting to statically set the image size and position within a Confluence page or space then you have a few options. Before getting into your options, we would suggest against this as statically placing items within a browser may cause them to render incorrectly or not be viewable within the screen. Additional resources to consider for this would be;

Here are your options for static image placement and sizing;

  • Use custom CSS within the space or page to overwrite the image placement. This will have adverse effects for others with different resolution or screen orientation.
  • Use Javascript to detect screen size/resolution to create a sticky placement of the images. While this may resolve some of the issues from custom CSS, this may have other adverse effects.
  • Create a user macro that dictates where the images should always be presented. This will require some developer time to do.

I hope this information proves helpful and you’re able to find the path that best suits your needs for image modification within Confluence server.

Stephen Sifers
