How do I search in Confluence Mobile view (Server 6.x)

Ther is no obvious way to Search content from mobile 'Dashboard' view, we drop into 'Desktop' view and use the usual global search and have tried embedding search macro into a blog page, which is a little more usefull as it retains mobile view when it reaches the selected page

It's true threre's no search on the Dashboard but you can search while still in mobile view by going to the top left, so that you are on the "pre-dashboard" page:
