How do I repeat table headers in pdf export?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Customise Exports to PDF

I tried

@media print {
   thead {display: table-header-group;}
}

and

table thead {display: table-header-group;}

and variants with

th.confluenceTh.sortableHeader

but no luck. Any suggestions?
