This is a networking question rather than an Atlassian one, but Confluence is the same as most web-applications - you configure your network such that the web-UI for Confluence is published on your domain.

As an example, my config at home consists of:

  • A global DNS record that points the world to my domestic internet connection
  • A router that forwards incoming https connections to the next box
  • A reverse-proxy server that acts as a front-end for several services
  • A Confluence server configured to listen to the proxy for incoming connections

You'll need to do something like that for your domain, but exactly what you do depends very much on your network setup.
