How do I generate a backup of all my spaces?

Olivia Dorantes May 15, 2018

I just generated a backup of my Atlassian in which I have 2 spaces created and each one has content (several pages) and when mounting the backup copy on another server, only one copy of a space was generated. Another problem is that when I log in I do not recognize the users of the supported server or the users of the new server.

Hi Olivia,

It sounds like you are using your own servers, is that correct? The recommendations I am making would not apply in Cloud.

To export a whole instance, including users but not third party plugins, please use the backup and restore option in the Confluence admin console, as described in Manually Backing Up the Site. The import/export under space tools is not for whole instances. Please restore as in this guide: Restoring a Site

When your Confluence instance gets bigger, or to back up everything including third party plugins, please try the Production Backup Strategy.

Thanks,

Ann

Thanks for your support.

I will follow the guidelines and later inform you of the results.
