How do I delete a space that I'm not an admin of, but we have no access to space permissions?

I seem to have ended up with a slightly weird situation... I've got a test space I have at some point in the past created which I now would like to delete. I've gone in to the space to try to delete it but realized I'm not an admin. Assumed I'd just broken perms previously so went into the admin CP To recover permissions, however because it's the free Confluence Cloud plan, there's no way to recover permissions...

Anyone come across this before, and got any idea's on how I can delete / recover permissions to this space?

Hey Ryan,

We had a bug in the onboarding wizard which caused "Former User" to create the test space on new Free instances, leading to the situation you see where you can't regain access to the space to delete it. This bug has been fixed for new Free sites, but if your site was created during the period where the bug existed, that test space will still be there without admin permissions.

This issue is documented in a public Jira issue: CONFCLOUD-69052 - our current suggested workaround is trying a Standard trial (you don't have to enter credit card information). This will get you the permission to take control of the space and do what you want to with it. After the trial is up (or even after you've just taken control of the space), you can downgrade your Confluence site back to the Free plan.

Cheers,
Daniel
