How do I create a scrolling text box?

Jennifer Bukacek April 19, 2019

I would like to have a section at the bottom of my home page that shows a scrolling list of updates. Is there a macro for this, or a way to constrain the section I'm putting the list in?

You want to see all the latest updates in a confluence space?  If so, you can use the 'Recently Updated' macro and configure it for the space you want and max number of entries to show.

Thanks for the answer, Ed! This is an option for sure. However, I'd like to control the list of updates, showing only the significant changes and not minor edits. Can I use the Recently Updated macro with some control like that? Thanks, again!

Hmm, I might have a solution using this Recently Updated macro. I've filtered the list using labels "new" and "updated."  If there is no other macro that gives me a scrolling text box, then I'll use this method. Thanks, again!

Hi Jennifer,

there is a paid third party app which includes a "News Ticker" macro: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213955/news-teaser-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview
