How do I add headings in an include to a page TOC?

I have a Confluence page which has an /include. In the included snippet, there are several headings. None of these headings appear on the page TOC.
How do I remedy this?

Unfortunately it will not work :( not like on DC

it says, "The macro only works within the page, blog, or macro to which it has been added, and cannot reference or be referenced across multiple pages or blogs.

I believe this behavior will not being considered in the near future, this ticket below can be related.

I recall it was possible for a time using the legacy editor, but this might have changed.
