How do I add custom next-gen columns to a Jira Issue/Filter in confluence?

I have a Next-Gen project in Jira cloud, and I'm using the Jira Issue/Filter in confluence. In the next-gen project, I've added some custom fields to my Epics, but when I go to add the Jira Issue/Filter Macro in confluence, none of the next-gen custom fields are available under "Columns to display", although the custom classic columns are. Anyone know how to get the custom next-gen columns to appear, or if this is an enhancement, when this will be available?
